Community Jobs Scotland launches fifth year
Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) creates work opportunities for young people within third sector organisations in Scotland- Employer applications will be accepted from Monday 15 June 2015.
There are two developments this year
- Employer processes are moving to an online system to make things quicker and easier for you
- CJS will be able to offer some flexibility in funding available to employers. This will take two forms
Living wage: If you are a living wage employer, and are committed to paying your CJS employees at least the living wage, you can access additional funding to support this
Extensions for vulnerable groups: Employers who have taken on a vulnerable young person will be able to apply for a limited number of 3 or 6 month contract extensions if, towards the end of their contract, there us clear evidence that the individual would benefit from a longer period in the job. These extensions will be awarded on a case by case basis.
Think about what opportunities you may be able to offer within your organisation between now and March 2016.
